LONDON, UK, January 20, 2022 (WNIPresswire) — Santander UK has been certified as a Top Employer in the UK for 2022 by the Top Employers Institute.

The Top Employers Institute's annual international research highlights an organisation's commitment to a better world of work, as evidenced by their superior HR policies and people practises.

The Top Employers Institute programme certifies companies based on their HR Best Practices Survey participation and performance. The survey evaluates firms in 20 areas, including People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Wellbeing, Diversity & Inclusion, and Sustainability, in order to obtain this rank.

Santander UK’s Chief HR Officer Enrique Alvarez said: “It’s fantastic to be recognised as a Top Employer for another year. Despite the ongoing challenges brought on by the pandemic, we’re particularly proud of our continued commitment to creating an inclusive environment for our colleagues where everyone’s wellbeing is a top priority. We remain committed to ensuring Santander continues to be a great place to work, together helping people and businesses prosper.”

Top Employers Institute CEO David Plink says: “Reflecting on the demanding year that has, like the year before it, impacted organisations across the world, Santander UK has continued to show that it prioritises maintaining excellent people practices in the workplace. They continue to meet the challenges of the changing world of work while working tirelessly to make a positive impact on the lives of their workforce. We are pleased to celebrate and applaud the organisations that have been certified as Top Employers in their respective countries this year.”

Banco Santander has also been awarded the Top Employers Europe 2022 certification for the sixth year in a row, which is given to companies that are rated Top Employers in at least five European nations. This award was given to Santander in three of its largest European countries (Spain, Poland, and the United Kingdom), as well as its Santander Consumer Finance businesses in Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, France, and Belgium.
