The Filmarket Hub platform has launched its US Online Pitchbox, a new virtual pitch event dedicated to American feature films and scripted series in development. The call for submissions will be open until the 17th of August.
This initiative aims to discover fresh talent and high quality unproduced projects and match them with leading companies in the industry. Executives from Anonymous Content, Blumhouse, BondIt Media Capital, BRON Studios, FilmNation Entertainment, Lionsgate, NBCUniversal International Studios, Silver Reel and Universal Pictures are already confirmed to attend.
The event will take place online on the 22nd and the 23rd of September, with day one dedicated to feature films and day two showcasing scripted series. The creators of the selected projects will have the opportunity to pitch and meet each of the participating executives in 1to1 meetings.
In addition, the full-service media company Buffalo 8 will award one Film project and one TV project with professional executive producer services (valued at $7,950 each). This will include comprehensive budgeting, scheduling, financial forecasting along with tailored consulting and executive producer support. Furthermore, all the selected projects will be awarded with Final Draft screenwriting software.
Filmarket Hub is the leading online marketplace for talent and unproduced projects in the UK, Spain and Latin America. It currently hosts more than 1,500 curated Film & TV projects and has organized more than 30 international pitch events. Last June they hosted their inaugural US pitch event focused on Latinx talent and projects for the US Hispanic market.
More information about the US Online Pitchbox and the submission process can be viewed on the Filmarket Hub website.
