Saks Apprenticeships have helped over 500 people start apprenticeships in the last 12 months

Saks Apprenticeships, the UK’s favourite hairdressing, barbering and beauty therapy apprenticeship training provider, have released their new learner figures for the last 12 months showing that between September 2020 and September 2021 they have helped place 352 new apprentices in salons and barber shops across England and have a further 150 to enrol in the coming weeks.

The new milestone follows the announcement that the UK Government have extended the Apprentice Employment Incentive until January 2022 meaning that an employer can receive up to £4000 for each new apprentice they employ, a fantastic incentive that will help many people back into the workforce.

Tina Ockerby, Managing Director of Saks Education, said, “2020 into 2021 has been a year of ups and downs, a year of stops and starts, but throughout it all the Hair and Beauty industry has endured. 

This is reflected in the huge numbers of salons across the country who have been able to offer an opportunity to apprentices, of any age, looking to start a hairdressing, barbering or beauty therapy career.
