Selena Gomez’s Rare Impact Fund, part of Rare Beauty, has announced it is to donate $1.2 million in grants to a number of leading organizations.
Last year, Selena Gomez announced that her makeup brand, Rare Beauty, would be raising funds over the next decade to support mental health services and underserved communities. The ambitious program was set up to address mental health issues affecting millions of Americans, with 1% of Rare Beauty sales going toward the new fund.
This week, Rare Beauty revealed that it would be making its grants available to “8 organizations that work to expand mental health services in educational settings” in line with its ambitions to help young people dealing with various mental health ailments.
Among the recipients of the grant include:
“These grants signify our commitment to working with organizations that offer mental health educational trainings and services that reach young people. As we enter this next school year, we are eager to support these incredible organizations and fill the vital gaps in funding they need.” – Rare Beauty
Last month, Selena Gomez was praised for encouraging her fans to donate to the Rare Impact Fund on her birthday. The singer has been a strong advocate of mental health support and has been open about her own mental health battles.
Have you considered donating to the Rare Impact Fund to help support mental health services?
