Nicole Souza’s appointment as the company’s Chief Marketing Officer in the United States has been announced by Saatchi & Saatchi as part of the growth of the leadership team. Souza, a seasoned marketer with years of expertise in brand development, will oversee Saatchi’s marketing department while collaborating with the executive leadership team to merge the American offices. With immediate effect, she will report to Chuck Maguy, Saatchi & Saatchi U.S.’s Chief Operating Officer, in her new position.

“I’m so inspired by what’s happening at Saatchi—an iconic industry brand bringing together its U.S. offices to accomplish impossible things at scale for their clients,” said Nicole Souza, CMO, Saatchi & Saatchi. “Utilizing the best of the Saatchi network to address this complicated market resonates with clients and results in work that matters and stands out.”

“One of the reasons we’re excited about Nicole’s arrival is her relentless drive and enthusiasm for building brands, establishing new relationships and transforming organizations,” said Chuck Maguy, COO at Saatchi & Saatchi. “Among her priorities is building momentum around driving connectivity and collaboration in each region to help us continue delivering provocative, creative solutions for our clients.”

Following a number of recent leadership appointments, including Fabio Costa’s hiring as Executive Creative Director for Saatchi & Saatchi in Seattle, the main executive hire was made. Additionally, the agency had a strong showing at the 2022 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, winning one gold, one bronze, and two bronze Lions for P&G’s Tide Campaign #TurntoCold and Tide x Marvel, respectively. The agency also received numerous campaign shortlist nominations for Toyota and Goldfish.

Souza most recently held the position of CMO for Deutsch NY, where she oversaw the agency’s marketing efforts and modernized the business development strategy to change the growth trajectory. For companies like Frito Lay, Lone Star Beer, Mars Chocolate, Mars Wrigley, Nationwide Insurance, Nestle Coffee, PepsiCo, Purina, Sony PlayStation, Starbucks, Transamerica, USPS, Welch’s, and Wells Fargo, Souza has established marketing strategies and internal processes throughout her career.

Prior to joining Deutsch, Souza held illustrious leadership positions at The Integer Group, Universal McCann, and TBWA. She was also the SVP, Partner of U.S. Business Development at Universal McCann.
