Nnajiugo Nwosu of Chamco Projects sees cloud technology as crucial to levelling up economies

Sr. Vice President of Technology for Chamco Projects Nnajiugo Nwosu has been leading new cloud infrastructure project developments in the African region, and sees cloud tech as a way to level up economies.

With cloud technology becoming more important in society, its application is expanding into a host of sectors where artificial intelligence is also being integrated into global networks and IT systems.

“With AI and cloud technology combined, we will see intelligent solutions transform society over the coming years. Leveraging the power of datacenters through global networks, AI will become more powerful, with computations allowing for the management of driverless cars, autonomous vehicles, and even flying taxis in the years ahead,” notes Nwosu.

Multinational firms are already stepping up their cloud infrastructure ambitions. With the likes of Google and Amazon building datacenters and new quantum computing capabilities emerging, cloud computing is evolving fast.

“We also have to think about economic development and the use of cloud technology in all applications from power generation through to farm management and smart devices. It  will have a big impact. For developing countries in Africa, they can start to bring innovation to many sectors which will help them to level up over the coming decades,” adds Nwosu.

In recent years, Nnajiugo Nwosu has been a prominent player in the technology industry, assisting companies in using disruption and growing artificial intelligence capabilities to improve their market position. He was also a mentor at USC’s Lloyd Greif Center for Entrepreneurship Studies’ Blackstone LaunchPad.

After helping students at USC strengthen their business plans and providing practical guidance and direction on crafting great pitches, Nnajiugo Nwosu discovered his passion for technology. Following his work as a mentor, he has been assisting firms and governments in expanding their overseas services, leveraging the power of technology to give them an edge.

With cloud computing becoming more important especially for industries of scale, developing countries will be able to deploy solutions more rapidly, bringing new economic opportunities.

“We are really at the start of an incredible period for cloud tech. Coupled with AI, we will see more rapid development in continents like Africa, which is a good thing and it will empower citizens too,” notes Nwosu.
