At the June 24-26 Social Justice Build Event, Insight Global, a local provider of staffing services, collaborated with the NGO 48in48 to create and improve 48 nonprofit groups’ websites over the period of 48 hours. Insight Global volunteers gave their time and knowledge to charity organizations whose goals are to advance social justice issues including inclusivity and diversity.
Together with organizations The Foundation for Learning and Literacy and The Insight Global Family Foundation, a group of Insight Global volunteers from throughout the nation, including designers, web developers, marketing and content experts, and project managers, worked on this project. The Insight Global Foundation for Giving (IGFF) offers grants to employees going through difficult times financially and personally as a result of unanticipated circumstances.
“Our team was thrilled to put our time and talents to work over the weekend to help these vital organizations shine through their digital footprints,” said Allison Green, senior director of philanthropy at Insight Global. “This is just one of the many ways that our employees roll up their sleeves to be the light to our communities throughout the year.”
Given the crucial role websites play in a nonprofit’s capacity to establish credibility, generate awareness of its goal, enhance participation in events, and raise money, 48in48’s flagship events help NGOs with limited resources construct dynamic websites. The goal of this particular event was to help organizations that support and promote justice for people of color.
