Emma Begley has been appointed Director of Global Communications for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
Begley is moving from BMW UK, where she served as general manager of product and internal communications, to Rolls-Royce. She has coordinated and delivered internal communications inside the National Sales Company while also being in charge of external communications for the BMW Group and its goods. In 2014, Begley started working for the BMW Group. She was a spokesman for the member of the BMW AG Management Board who was in charge of customers, brands, and sales at the company’s Munich headquarters.
Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said, “I am delighted to welcome Emma Begley to the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Board of Directors. She is ideally suited to her new role at Rolls-Royce. Her exceptional experience and proven track record will be invaluable, particularly as we continue to share the story of our bright, bold electric future.”
Before relocating to Germany in 2002 to pursue a freelance career as a writer and translator, Emma Begley started her career with the BBC. She has a post-graduate diploma in broadcast journalism and a degree with honours in both English and French. She will be based at Goodwood’s The Home of Rolls-Royce.
Richard Carter, the company’s Board Director with the longest tenure, is replaced by Begley. Carter leaves Rolls-Royce Motor Cars following a successful 14-year term to pursue alternative, additional business interests, having made a remarkable contribution to the company’s global success.
