The Coppa delle Alpi by 1000 Miglia, a winter regularity race that will also count towards the Italian Major Events Championship, will be held for the third time as the opening event of the Red Arrow.

At the start, 76 vehicles will be present. They will be completely immersed in the beauty over the 1100 km trip, including the most treacherous passes and spectacular summits. Italy will be represented by 19 crews, followed by Belgium with 16, Germany with 14, the Netherlands, Spain, Israel, Poland, the USA, and the United Kingdom.

The pre-war vehicles include a 1927 Bugatti T 37 A and a 1927 Lancia Lambda Casaro VII Serie, and there are a lot of post-war Porsche 911s.

Over the course of four days, the cars will compete for the overall title in seven passage controls, eleven time controls, 90 time trials, ten average trials, and 60 secret measurements.

Throughout the way, awards in honour of St. Moritz, Innsbruck, Brixen, and Bormio will be given out, and the Vredestein Trophy will be given out on the snowy surface of the Montebello Quarry.

A tribute to the city will be paid in the Brescian prologue of the race, which will begin at 11 a.m. on March 1 with the Trofeo “Bergamo Brescia Capitale Italiana della Culture 2023.”
